León is an interior city rather than a border crossing, roughly 900km from the nearest port of entry. Dentistry here serves people who already live in or visit the Bajío, not patients making a day trip from the United States.
Bajío International Airport (BJX), about 20 minutes from the city
Mexican patients in the Bajío, and visitors already in the region. This is not a border run.
If you are travelling from the United States specifically for dental work, a border city will almost always be cheaper to reach and easier to return to for a second appointment. León makes sense when you are already going to be here.
What each procedure involves, what it costs, and how many trips it takes. Prices are the part worth reading twice: a quote that beats every other quote in town is usually quoting a different procedure.

Ask for the cédula profesional number and the name exactly as it appears on it, then look both up in the Registro Nacional de Profesionistas. That licence is what makes dental practice legal in Mexico at all, and it is public record. Every dentist listed here has their number published with the date it was confirmed, so the check can be repeated rather than taken on trust.
Yes. International flights require a passport for both entry to Mexico and the return home.
It depends entirely on the procedure. A crown or a root canal often is. Implants are not: the post has to fuse with bone over months before the final tooth goes on, so that is two trips. Anyone offering full implant treatment inside a week is describing something other than a standard implant.
